ETF expert explains how passives market will develop in 2017

Smart beta tools are set to become more widespread in 2017 on the back of increasing acceptance among investors.

This is according to Chris Mellor, executive director and head of equity product management at Source, a UK-based ETF provider.

So far smart beta investment has tended to focus on dividend yield, growth and value, he added. However, he forecasts that this year we will see a further branching out into other investment factors.
